Your Questions, Answered

  • I currently offer therapy services for individuals. I specialize in work with LGBTQIA+, ADHD, AuDHD, and Autistic clients- especially those with self realized/late-in-life diagnoses, and those seeking a supportive space to navigate deeper understanding themselves.

I am a Certified Clinical ADHD Specialist (ADHD-CCSP) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP I). I have completed a variety of trainings related to nerurodivergence and neurodiversity, and am knowledgeable about the ways ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD (the diagnosis of both ADHD and Autism) present across a diverse range of populations, outside of the highly stigmatized and stereotypical ways these diagnoses are often/largely represented or portrayed. I am currently in the process of completing my CCPT II, and the recertification of my Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) designation.

I have worked with clients ranging from self-suspected/undiagnosed to late-in life diagnosed ADHD, AUDHD, and Autistics as well as everywhere in-between. Many of my clients come to therapy seeking support as they navigate anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and a lot of internalized narratives that don’t align with their own values or true beliefs.

My approach prioritizes building safety and connection with each of my clients to foster an environment where they can develop skills in identifying and releasing emotions, identify the correlated parts of them holding these emotions -as well as their held burdens, beliefs/narratives, roles/functions, and unmet needs- , and connecting to their most authentic self.

I use an integrated theoretical approach to therapy, which means I pull the most useful interventions and elements of a range of theories/therapies I am trained in to make sure your therapy experience is as tailored to you and your needs as possible. Some of the theories/therapies I pull from the most are Person-centered, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, Narrative therapy, Relational/Attachment-informed therapy, Trauma-informed interventions and frameworks, Pycho-education, and Systems/Family Systems framework. Overall, I am grounded in approaching therapy from a person-centered, non-pathologizing, curious, compassionate, and holistic approach that centers you as the expert in your unique life experiences.

  • The 20 minute consult allows us time to explore if we are a good clinical fit- if your goals for therapy align with my skills/abilities, if our personalities vibe, and if your scheduling needs align with my availability. We’ll talk a bit about why you are seeking services, discuss a bit about my approach and my practice, and answer any questions or concerns you may have about working together.

If I’m not the right fit for you, I am happy to help with the process of finding someone who is!

If we decide that it is a good fit, we will schedule an initial assessment/Intake appointment. Throughout this process, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that may pop up.

  • Your initial appointment will be focused on helping me build a more encompassing picture of who you are, your history, your strengths, and your goals for therapy. During this session I will ask more questions than I will in most of our other sessions, we will review the forms/documentation you completed prior to the session, and answer any outstanding questions or concerns you may have. We will have 60 to 90 minutes for this appointment, including a Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation and Assessment.

  • I offer a tiered fee model to create more access to services for clients with varied financial resources.

Currently tier 1 slots are full but I am accepting tier 2 and 3 clients on a rolling basis.

    Tier 1:

    Initial: $100

    Ongoing: $85

    Tier 2:

    Initial: $165

    Ongoing: $145

    Tier 3:

    Initial: $200

    Ongoing: $175

Note: I charge a flat fee for services (within the selected tier), although ongoing sessions are typically 60 minutes sessions that last less than 60 minutes will be charged the same fee.

You can find more about my pricing model and fees here.

  • I have chosen not to participate with insurance panels, I am an out of network provider. This means that while I do not take insurance, I am able to provide a superbill to you so you are able to seek out of network reimbursement through your insurance for our sessions.

The decision to not work with insurance is the result of insurance companies drastically limiting therapists ability to provide specialized, depathologizing, personally protective (of client information), and client-centered/autonomous care. Working with insurance would mean I would be unable to offer the level of specialized care I offer, reduce the amount of time spent in sessions with clients, clients would be unable to determine the amount of sessions they would like to attend/the length of our work together, and clients information would be required to be processed on an ongoing basis by their insurance -information such as their diagnosis, progress, goals, and what happened during your session (even with the protective approach therapists take when completing these notes). These limitations directly interfere with the frameworks, approaches, and values of this practice and held by myself.

If your insurance offers out of network benefits, the following questions can help you to determine your benefits.

    • Do I have mental health out of network insurance benefits?

    • Will CPT codes 90791, 90834, and 90837 be covered?

    • What is my deductible and has it been met?

    •  What percentage will I be reimbursed when I meet my deductible?

    • Do my benefits cover tele-health sessions?

    • Is there a limit to the number of sessions I can receive in a calendar year?

  • You can reach me by completing the contact form here.

I do offer a free 20 minute video consultation session which allows perspective clients to get a vibe check, and ask some questions they may have about fit, the process of therapy, pricing, etc.

The best way to communicate with me is via email, through Session’s Health (for established clients), or via text. My ability to return phone calls is limited, thank you for your understanding.
